We all went up to Trillium Lake again! We’ve had a lot of snow up on Mt Hood recently so we tried some spring skiing. I got to mess around in the parking lot and ski a bit myself and then we all took a lap around the lake. My favorite part was skiing (on my own skis with Mommy’s help) fast downhill. Mommy says she’s like me.
Mom made a video to give you an idea of what it is like to skijor with our crew. Scout was getting tired at the end!

Mommy and I went to the Tulip Festival. I haven’t been there since I was a baby. Mom says it has gotten a little fancier since the last time. Now there’s a little playground area and some nice people selling crafts. There’s also a few choices for food but I chose a hot dog and fries, of course!
My favorite parts this time were the bumpy cow ride and all the playground stuff. I really want to go again really soon. Mommy says that I’ll probably have to wait until next year. I was a really good girl in the car even though it was about 45 minutes each way. I suspect I will have a harder time not whining when we go to Mt Hood tomorrow.

When Mommy was little, she loved to paint sugar cookies with egg yolk paint. I was skeptical about painting with egg yolk but I tried to keep an open mind.
Grandma brought the cookie cutters they used to use when she visited. Mom and I got to try them out today! It was fun! (Mommy knows the bunny got a bit over cooked.) I even got to try one.
Can I have another one?

I also helped fix the toilet. We installed a new fill valve. The new one is louder so we may be installing another new one soon. Or maybe we’ll just get used to it.

We celebrated the arrival of spring and the Persian New Year (Noruz!) with Marjon and Jen. Thanks so much guys! It was so much fun! I really liked the spices in the meat that Marjon made – it was like kebabs not on a stick. I think there was onion, tumeric and a bit of curry power. We’ll have to get the recipe. I also love hummus and the labaneh (thick yogurt cheese). Yummm.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit from Connecticut. It was really great to see them. I really have lots of fun with them. We did a lot of cool stuff – I made fairies with Grandma, I showed them my rock climbing, we went to the playground, flew kites, ate at food carts, went to the farmer’s market and mostly hung out!
I can’t wait for them to come to visit again. I also want to visit them.
I did my best to be a good girl and it was kind of exhausting. I am going to sleep really well for a while.

I helped Mom repair a hole in the wall. I’m an expert at sanding.
