Celebrate Christmas!

I had a really fabulous Christmas. Santa got me the Snow Princess doll that I wanted. I also got a bunch of other great things – a bingo game with riddles, some fairy lacing cards, a fuzzy robe and fuzzy pjs, a handmade sweater (just like my old favorite with new special buttons!), some books, a penguin game, a great tutu, a bunch of dinosaurs and a mini cupcake bake set. I’m sure I’m forgetting something really great but that’s only because I got so many great things.

We had some yummy bagels and lox and cinnamon buns with Marjon and Uncle Todd. We hung out and talked and played games. What more could you want? I hope your Christmas was just as great!

If you were wondering about the photo, its me singing with my microphone (made with Tinkertoys) with my new tutu.

Almost Time!

It’s Christmas Eve! There are lots of presents under the tree—I’ve checked which ones are for me and there are so many. Also headed out to Meg’s holiday (dessert!!) party. Very exciting times.

A Favorite ThingI still try to wear this sweater 4 years later. Thanks, Grandma.

Christmas is coming!

Rudolph is very excited!I’m sure you noticed from my last post that I’m excited about Christmas. One sign that Christmas is coming is that we took a ride on the “Old Fashioned Train” and I got to see Santa! That’s always a sure sign that Christmas will be soon.

We also picked out a tree and decorated it. I picked out my favorite ornaments for a mini tree in my room too!

I know that snow doesn’t have to be around Christmas but our first family trip up to Trillium Lake skiing feels pretty festive to me! I skiied a tiny bit and then Daddy and Scout pulled me around the lake. I like going fast when Daddy is pulling me but I didn’t want to go fast on my own skis. It was pretty crunchy snow – maybe I’ll like going fast when the snow is soft! The best part of our ski trip was playing in the parking lot with the kids that were parked next to us. We just messed around and hung out. It was great!

How many days until Christmas?

This question has been on my mind a lot lately.

P.S., Also: it’s a lot of fun to play cards: Slap Jack, Crazy Eights, Go Fish, and Old Maid.
